Started in 1997, Dogathon™ 2018, now in its 21st year, is the biggest annual event organized by the VETERNAK and Zoologico™ Club of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UPM. 

Dogathon™ 2018 is a charity drive with two missions. The first is to raise fund to aid “Stray Animal Awareness” program, and to assist the annual PRO-KASIH program. PRO-KASIH is a stray animal neutering project aimed at controlling the population of strays in a humane way. The second mission is to help raise awareness on animal welfare. Good animal welfare is important to reduce the stressors on the animal, allowing them to express their natural behaviour thus leading to a more humane treatment of animals.

Dogathon™ welcomes all breeds of dogs and their owners. They can also indulge in fun activities Dogathon™ 2018 has in store for them, at the same time being educated about the importance in neutering stray and taking care of animal welfare. In other words, it is promised to be an enlightening and fun-filled day to all visitors, canine or non-canine.
